ABOUT IAN'S AT BLOG

A little about me: 

I am 22 years old and a recent graduate from UNCW with my B.S. in Biology. I have always had a passion for the outdoors having spent the last two summers working on wildlife tour boats in Sitka, AK. As far as my hiking/camping experience goes  I have done multiple day hikes but only one multi backpacking trip.

Why I want to hike the AT:

Some people hike for the challenge, the connection with nature, the community,  or the escape from the "real world." While I'd say some of those reasons are true for me, the main reason I am doing this is to experience what life has to offer. I hope this journey will just be the begining of living a life free of worry and just enjoying the beautiful world we get to live in.
